In this paper, we have made a study on the methods of quality inspection and evaluation for bridge engineering. The shortcomings and deficiencies of the actual methods have been pointed out. Based on the in common use mathematical statistics method of construction quality evaluation, a new method which the reliable degrees of bridge engineering quality is analysed by using the sample estimate has been presented . This method is applicable to quality evaluation of actual measurement project.The other method has been presented too. This method is about which bridge engineering quality is integrally evaluated by using the fuzzing mathematical, hi the course of fuzzy integrated evaluation, firstly, the specialist's weight coefficient is defined and the score of qualitative indexing is calculated. Moreover according to the practical situation for project, the specialists present the weight coefficient for subdivisional project and partitioned project. The membership grade of subdivisional project is gotten in response to its score. At last, the bridge engineering quality is evaluated by using the mathematical model of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation in twice, and the finally evaluated result is gotten. Using this method can decrease the subjectivity and random of quality evaluation, and can increase the objectivity and reliability.In this subject, the comprehensive evaluation program of bridge engineering quality is worked out. The program adopts Visual C++ program, has friendly interface and visual data I/O windows. Finally, a actual bridge is analysed by using this program. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluated result and the other result in response to Quality Inspection and Evaluation Standards for Highway Engineering is unanimous. It is anticipated that this paper would have some referential value to quality inspection and evaluation for bridge engineering.
