The technology of hydraulic pressure has been widely used in every part of National Product. The performance of hydraulic component and hydraulic circuit can influence the quality of machine directly. So it is important to test and analyze the performance index of hydraulic component and circuit, in order to meet the needs of different purpose. The development of technology of computer software and hardware as well as the development of CAT (Computer Aided Test), especially the appearance of VI (Visual Instrument), provides convenience to develop multifunctional CAT system of hydraulic components. Thus, the study on CAT system based on the most new test technology of VI, may play a very important role in research of new hydraulic components and systems, also in extending application of hydraulic products. In this paper, selecting multifunctional CAT of hydraulic components based on VI technology as studying task, combined with manufacture of multifunctional test-bed of hydraulic components and systems, a deeply study was developed in such fields as follows:1. The experiment contents of all kinds of hydraulic components were discussed. The commonness of the experiment contents was summed-up. This makes the function of the test system all-around, and provides the mathematic model for developing software. 2.. The hydraulic circuit of the multifunctional CAT of hydraulic components was designed. Using simulation software of BATH/FP for simulation analysis, setting up the simulation model, then getting the simulation results, these do help for design the test system, and provide reference for analysis of testing results.3. Based on the thoughtway of VI design, the multifunctional test system of hydraulic components and systems was designed. The testing software was developed by Visual Basic. The test system can complete the test automatically getting the performance of hydraulic pump, hydraulic motor, hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic valve and hydraulic synchronism circuit. It possesses the function of data collection, controlling, analyzing, result management and printing, as well asintuitionistic user interface.4. Using the designed multifunctional CAT system of hydraulic components, the multifunctional test-bed of hydraulic components and systems was manufactured. The testing results getting in the experiments on the spot, indicates that the function of the test-bed is all-around and test precision is high. And it is convenient to complete the test. This testified that the thoughtway is right and the method is feasible.
