With the progress of aviation technology, improving the design efficiency of aircraft cockpit layout is gotten heigh recognition by deviser.The paper has founded the rules of layout design of aircraft cockpit by using Man-Machine engineering and the successful cockpit layout. On the base of artificial- intelligence- theory and the tool of expert-system — CLIPS and the knowledge-characteristic of layout design of aircraft cockpit, rule-frame(RF) knowledge representation method has been put forward to express the knowledge of layout design of aircraft cockpit, data-base used in the paper can manage the knowledge in reason; By CATIA, the way of how to judge that the layout-design-of-aircraft-cockpit is good or not has been founded. A method of intellegentizing layout design of aircraft cockpit has been provided .During the aircraft cockpit layout design, RF fits to express the knowledge of layout design of aircraft cockpit; The data-base used in the paper can manage the knowledge of layout design of aircraft cockpit well; Arithmetic-reasoning-efficiency using in reasoning machine is high. The intellegentizing layout design of aircraft cockpit can lighten the task intensity,shorten the cycle of design and reduce the cost of design effectively.
