MES is the bridge between top-level transaction and low-level control system. Research on MES for Batching Production Processes is not wide because of its complexity and uncertainties. This paper presented the interface relation between MES and BPS, PCS based on the discussion on the developments history and technology characters of MES. Integration platform of MES for batching production industry is the basis of effective functions of MES. For integratable MES, its functional platform must be very universal, compatible and extensible. This paper proposed an integrated platform of MES for batching production processes based on the researches on the function modes and integration mechanism of MES platform.Based on the discussion of object-oriented technology, Intelligent Relating Unit System, a more active design method for MES integration framework for batching production processes, is put forward, which is intelligent, self-adapted and self-learned. IRU is basic element of MES platform and it is a integrate unit, which is self-governed and related with others. Depended on π calculus, theory models such as mental state, interface task and self-adapted are described. In addition, IRU structure, communication protocol, communication language and CARBA soft Bus about IRUS are illuminated in the paper. IRU technology can transact complex information of MES platform and provide an approach for the research on MES integration framework in the paper.MES is divided into different IRUs based on the application functions and the detailed collaboration process is analyzed. Then a MES integration platform which made up of IRUs based on CORBA is designed and realized in the different area and environment based on the WEB. Finally, the progress and effectiveness of the integrated platform is illustrated through the planning IRU and scheduling IRU in the backgrounds of the ShengLi oil refining factory.In the final, this paper is summarized, the insufficiency is pointed out and further research in this field of MES integrated platform is prospected.
