Flight data recoder (FDR) is a small dynamic testing device which is based on digital collection and storage technology, special encapsulation technology and structural design technology, used to test flight multiparameter and to and record of all kinds of aircrafts. It can not only work in tough environments, but also reappear the recorded information after callback. The evaluation and troubleshooting of weapon system of nearly finished laser-beam-riding anti-tanker missile must be based on data.In order to meet the need of testing parameters, missile flight data recoder is designed in this paper. Compared with former ones, general electronic disk which is the memory of the FDR can be easily removed from FDR to general computer in the designed overall project. The usage of general electronic disk enhances removability and reliability of the device. No data transference is needed between FDR and computer, that simplifies the job of FDR and difficulty in designing.Hardwired connection is designed on the TMS320LF2407A of TI in this paper to meet the need of purpose of system. The data acquisition circuit of the system is used to acquire analog signals in the missile, while IDE interface controller used to communicating with general electronic disk and store the acquired data into disk.Depending on the hardwired connection, communication protocol between missile computer and FDR is designed in this paper in order that missile computer's sending data is independent from the state of FDR. Communication between main processor and IDE interface is designed and optimized, which makes storage as fast as possible with the insurance of realtime processing of system. Based on the harddisk bottom operation, file system operation on embeded system, which enables general computer to operate data on electronic disk, is implemented.The convenient software of data format converter is programed based on VisualC++ in this paper, the WYSWYG feature of which eases the operation. It converts binary data into ASCII form for the following processing.The usage and notice of FDR is expounded in this paper as while. The FDR's data acquiring experiment in laboratory is successful, and the result of experiment shows that FDR works well and can effectively watch over parameters in missile. It also shows data is safely saved after power is shut down and meets the needs of designing purpose.The accomplishment of FDR provides powerful tool for troubleshooting and evaluation of laser-beam-riding anti-tanker missile.
