This article takes the power section shell of torpedo which is the irregular columniform shell with ribs as the research object;firstly, it described kinds of dynamic characteristics of the regular column shell, and influences of the irregular factors to the shell;Secondly , it has designed thickness of the shell and size of the rib to increase rigidity and modal frequency of the structure , which is based on the theory of structural rigidity and modal frequency having the same fluctuation characteristic;All these work are all for controlling the vibration of the machinery as far as possible.In this article, it analyzes the dynamic simulation of the column shell with ribs by using the large-scale finite element analysis software-ANSYS ,which is the CAE software covering the modern design method and popular computer technology, and obtained that , if increasing shell' s thickness and the rib' s size, such as the rib' s high , width or it' s number , you can get the same increasing of the structure' s rigidity and frequency;The harmonic analysis will forecast the shell' s stable response to the external harmonic inspire prompting-the driver device .The shell is optimized under the condition which could meet the structural rigidity and strength needs through the modern optimized design software;Of course, before the process, the shell' s dynamic characteristics ought to be known and optimized theory should have been provided .Then ,the reasonable shell' s thickness and rib' s size are determined , the design efficiency and the quality are enhanced and the design cycle is reduced .This article also gives two developments to the shell' s optimized procedure basing on APDL, so it achieved the parameter modeling , as well as the parameter loading on the shell. In the case of structural optimization to similar torpedoes, the controlling codes without giving a great changes can be transplanted and used . In a word, the procedure could effectively improve the efficiency and reliability of the work.
