The article firstly describes the general development process and the existing status on the construction equipment management in the large construction enterprises, and gives a brief introduction of the major theories for the equipment management both in home and abroad. According to its particularities, discusses and analyses the main reasons for the problems existing dealing with the aspects of business running, variable environment, frequent mobilization and movement in both personnel and equipment, the involved management difficulties and etc., coming to a conclusion: the key point for the management is the proper combination of the management advantages and feasibility, making the equipment as the major capital to be supervised, based on the view of the capital-management, then achieves the aim of gaining highest output benefits by the lowest cycle running cost.As the first important factor, the general equipment management requires the highest benefit by all process through perfect management, good personnel organization, the advanced managing techniques, theory and running cycle, and all these must be based upon the certain enterprise' s general managing advantages and the financial system, the producer' s existing equipment producing level, technical level, maintenance service level and etc; secondly, a good equipment management system is only as a good stratagem plan, while the certain personnel diathesis, the whole management level, inner controlling system and social wealth are the necessary guarantee for the equipment management, at last, if a good management plan could be done also depends upon the properly performed.
