Xi'an Integrated Transport Strategy Study

Through analysis and generalization on national and oversea transportation development strategic selection, this paper analyses the existing situation and problems of urban transportation under single center urban structure based on the reality of Xi'an urban spatial structural reform. According to the co-relation of urban land and urban transportation development, the author discusses how to construct developed transportation system on the point of transportation demand, how to guide urban spatial structural adjustment and rational layout of urban land, and how to decrease the high density of urban center. This paper brings forward urban transportation development strategy on different layers for the construction of "one city, several centers" urban spatial structure.Based on fully understanding and analysis of Xi'an urban transportation situation, this paper explores the ways to solve urban transportation problems in macro-scope, expects the trend and characteristics of urban transportation, and discusses urban transportation strategy suitable to Xi'an's feature to guide urban sustainable development. On Micro level, the author puts forward urban integrated transportation strategy in "The eleventh five year plan" period in order to relieve urban traffic jam.
