Residential Area Development Traffic Impact Analysis Study

The urban traffic problems are rising with the overloaded and disorder exploiting city land. It has been one of the main factors restricting the city development of our country. Traffic impact analysis is an effective tool that coordinates the contradiction between the city land utilization and traffic system on micro level. For the large exploiting capacity of city residential community and difference from other type lands, it is urgent to research the traffic impact analysis of residential community.On the base of basic theory of traffic impact analysis, the basic contents and technology procedures of traffic impact analysis are analyzed. To the problems in the traffic impact analysis practices, the institutional improvement of traffic impact management is proposed. To the difference between the residential community and other types of land uses, the traffic characteristics of residential community are analyzed elaborately and the interactive mechanism of urban traffic and residential land use is researched. On this base, the paper put forward the methods of identifying the threshold, traffic impact area, traffic volume by parsing the main factors of traffic impact analysis of residential community. AHP and matter element model are used to assess traffic impact degree, and then propose some feasible mitigation measures. At last, the theories put forward in this paper are used in traffic impact analysis of Xi'an TianXing urban garden to check out validity.
