China is occupying the expressway construction high tide at present, the expressway in most areas having been developed into networks. However, due to various reasons, the design and construction of building of the expressway service area lags the pace of road networks' development and people's gradually increasing material and spiritual demands. In addition, the study of architectural facilities within the service area is still not burgeoned, there is a lack of theoretical basis and practical guidance about many problems, and most designers fail to concern with the details of the design of building within the service area.This thesis focuses on problems related to the architectural facilities within service areas. Based on the practical, economical and beautiful design idea , the author starts with various aspects: from the locating of the service area to the design of the single building, from the layout of the buildings to the function mode, index of control, space mould pattern block, ecological and environmental protection and the design of no-obstacle of the single building . Probe the method and the way of design.The thesis is divided into six chapters.Chapter the introduction, briefly introduces the background of choosing the topic, the present state of study, the scope of study and its significance.Chapter 2 analyzes the overall layout of the service area, studying from the function and configuration, special arrangement, planning and locating and to deciding the overall scale of the service area. delimits the range of study of the building within the service area, propose the main object and method of study.Chapter3 sets the multi-purpose building within the service area as the object of study, analyzing the scale mode, index control, spatial pattern block, the shape of the multi-purpose building, at the same time, considering the design of no-obstacle in city the ecological and environmental protection, propose the reference index and the design principles of the multi-purpose building design.Chapter 4 analyzes the function, scale and the arrangement of left buildings within the service area such as gas station, garage and the living quarters for staff and workers.Chapter 5 studies the typical designs for buildings in expressway serviced areas.Chapter 6, the summary, summaries the whole thesis, and focuses on the evaluation of the method of study in this these, and points out research directions in the future.
