The precision of electronic time fuze action is wished to be improved in order tocontrol the burst point accurately and enhance the effect of terminal assault. A method byreal-time measurement of muzzle velocity is taken, using the actual projectile muzzlevelocity to correct the setting time of fuze, in order to improve the precision of time fuzeaction. The system is depended on the platform or the device of measuring velocity whichadds the-weight and complexity to launch gun barrel. The-device-would affect the accuracyof fire in the war and be destroyed easily.In this dissertation, a kind of technology that can measuring of muzzle velocityon-board and auto correcting setting time by turns-counting of electronic time fuze isemphatically studied. The new technology needs no device of measuring velocity on the.launch gun barrel. Using the new technology, Controlling the burst point accurately,measuring the flight attitude of a spinning projectile and correcting the range would beapplied in electronic time fuze.The dissertation recounts systemically the time principle of electronic time fuze. Thekey technologies of measuring of muzzle velocity on-board by turns-counting are includethe turns-counting, the high-precision timing and the real-time calculating of muzzlevelocity which are one of the available measures to eliminate the deviation betweentheoretical calculating and actual data. Using the revolutions according with theengineering arithmetic which is easy to be applied in engineering and according with theangular velocity of the projectile to set a method calculating the muzzle velocity, namelythe beeline extrapolating method. Based on the analyzing of the exterior ballistics, theaccuracy of measuring of muzzle velocity and the parameters effecting the precision ofmeasuring of muzzle velocity are studied, which include the revolutions error byturns-counting, the measuring distance error by average variational lead, the timing error,the error by the moving point of measuring of muzzle velocity, and so on. The optimumrevolutions are studied. All these are capable of demonstrating the feasibility of the systemof measuring of muzzle velocity on-board.The giant magnetic resistance sensor by use of geomagnetic turns-counting and therequirements of oscillator by the use of measuring of muzzle velocity on-board are studied.The main devices which are applied in the system of measuring of muzzle velocity on-board and auto correcting time are selected. The project of measuring of muzzlevelocity on-board and auto correcting setting time is designed by chips of single chipmicrocomputer and CPLD(Complex Programmable Logic Device). The project of thesystem hardware is designed which includes the sensor signal processing circuit and thesingle chip microcomputer circuit. The simulation experiment of the system of measuringvelocity is studied by test. Two non-linear correcting methods of function time on fuze areput forward. Moreover, the accuracy of burst point of correcting setting time is researchedby simulation.
