With higher and higher accuracy requirements for conventional ammunition in modern warfare, the ability to control the burst point of electronic time fuze is of an increasingly serious problem.Under this background, the self-measuring velocity and correcting electronic time fuze emerge as the times require. Based on analyzing the burst point error of projectile, the approaches and methods to improve the burst point accuracy of this electronic time fuze are mainly studied in order to analyze the effect of the fuze.The error sources of starting time of electronic time fuze which timing circuit is activated when the recoil switch is closed are analyzed. The force model of the fuze in bore is established. And the starting time of the electronic time fuze influenced by worn bore, weights change and high or low temperature environment during launch are analyzed. The simulation results show that the starting time error of the fuze is small, and there is an optimal switch closure threshold minimized the starting time dispersion.The principle and implementation method of the self-measuring velocity by turns-counting are researched, the parameter selection principles of velocity measurement interval are proposed, and the simulation analysis and experimental verification are carried out. The error of this measurement method is only 0.1%, and selection of the velocity measuring parameters is appropriate. This method is suitable for measuring the muzzle velocity of ammunition fired by rifled gunThe method of correcting the fuze action time by the time correction coefficient is proposed. This modified method has very high accuracy, and correction time error range within ±1.5ms.The time correction coefficients can be obtained through the simulation calculation and range test before a fight. The simulation results prove that the correction algorithm is not only simple, but also very high accuracy.When the 105mm tank gun with a high explosive projectile hit the target at 1000 meters, for example, the burst point errors of the self-measuring velocity and correcting electronic time fuze and the ordinary electronic time fuze are analyzed and compared. The results showed that the burst point error of self-measuring velocity and correcting electronic time fuze significantly reduced than the ordinary electronic time fuze’s. Therefore, one of the most effective ways to improve the power of the conventional ammunition is to equip the self-measuring velocity and correcting electronic time fuze under current conditions.
