The precision of time fuze rests with many factors, but the muzzle velocity of a projectile is a key parameter which decides on flight characteristic of a projectile. Because of the distinctness of projection ammunition and projection environment of every projectile, there is a deviation of the actual muzzle velocity from the theoretical muzzle velocity, which causes the actual detonation point of a projectile's deviatation from the theoretical detonation point calculated by the theoretical parameters. If the detonation precision in the air is wished to be improved, the issue of real-time measurement of the muzzle velocity should be studied .As for the time fuze, for the purpose of reducing the effect caused by the muzzle velocity error, ordinarily, a method by real-time measurement of the muzzle velocity is taken, using the actual muzzle velocity of every projectile corrects the action time of fuze load to improve the precision of time fuze. There are many traditional ways measuring the actual muzzle velocity, but all the measurings depend on the platform or are done near the muzzle, then correct the function time. The method needs equip the equipment of measuring velocity on the platform or muzzle projectile, and affect the life and projected precision of artillery in the war field. Therefore, it is necessary that a new availability method of measuring velocity is researched.In this dissertation, a kind of technique on-board velocity measurement and correcting of fuze function time by using turns-counting technique are emphatically studied. Adopting the new technique, measuring the actual muzzle velocity can be made out without installing any devices on the muzzle. The controlling detonating point accurately and the measuring flight attitude of a spinning projectile. The correcting the range may be made out in a electronic time fuze. These measuring would not changing existent equipment artillery. Furthermore they would improve the precision assault, as well as adapting the technique requirement which is put forward modem times communication war to antiaircraft artillery.The dissertation recounts systemically the factors affecting detonating point of projectile and the error of the projected distance, and draws the conclusion that original velocity is the main affected factor.
