The method of theory analysis and numerical simulation and experimentbeing used in this paper, the tandem matching between the two main chargesis studied. Different from the tandem warhead to attack the ERA, this tandemcharges is to increase the penetration and the damage power of the warhead.In this paper, the collectivity project is that the back charge isdetonated first. Then through booster the annular explode wave is obtained,it detonates the front charge. The jet engendered from the back charge goesthrough the center hole in the front charge, and it penetrates the armor target.The jet engendered from the front charge continues to penetrate the target.Based on this project, the math formulation to calculate the relay time ismodeled.In this paper, according as the theory of jet formation, the MATLAB programto calculate the jet's parameters is compiled. Using it, the head velocity,tail velocity, grads of velocity, radius and pestle velocity of the tandemjets is calculated when changing the charge' s structure parameters. And thecause that the jet's parameters change with the charge's is analyzed in thepaper.In this paper, the reliable truncation for the back pestle is studied.Spreading and separating explode between the tandem charges are studied. UsingLS-DYNA numerical simulation, the relay time formulation is proved correct.And the damage power of the tandem charges is simulated. At last, based onexperiment, the results of theory analysis and numerical is proved. Comparedwith the accustomed charge, the damage power of tandem charge is increasedabout 15%.
