Lijiang Water Resources Survey And Evaluation

Water is the source of all life. With the rapid development of society and economic, water resources have become the most important resources and prerequisite for sustainable development of regional economic, and is also the control element for ecology and environment. To make the sustainable development of water resources support the sustainable development of society and economy is the guideline of our present water-treatment strategy. The sustainable development of water resources must be based on their investigation and evaluation, and the latter is the prerequisite for their sustainable development, the basis for their scientific programming, protection and management.The investigation of water resources is setting in Lijiang, dividing it into three units according to the three-level standard. The paper analyses and examines the recent-surveyed data and combines historical materials of 45 years series of statistics from 1956 to 2000. It also fully employs material's and research results from other departments of environment protection, water conservancy, agriculture, and national land and resources administration, in view of the natural geography of Lijiang and the shaping conditions of its water resources. Considering the cry need of the development of society and economy, this paper, being a response to our sustainable development strategy, employs data base and Mapinfo, ArcGis space-analysis technique, combining quantitative with qualitative analysis, unifying theoretical analysis and practical research, to analysis elements of rainfall, evaporation, river silt, and runoff and their changing law.On the basis of such hydrology materials as rainfall, evaporation, river silt, runoff, and water-quality control, this paper analysis and calculates the rainfall per year, the statistic series of the amount of water resources( including surface and underground), statistic parameter, the water amount of different guaranty, and water distribution per year. Based on the evaluation standard for surface and underground water, on recent survey and investigation, and added materials of water quality, this paper investigates and evaluates the chemical type of surface water, its present general quality and divided-part quality, the standard-reaching of functional water, the quality of supply water and its changing tendency.According to the harmonious development of population, resources, environment, economy and society, the paper takes into consideration the characteristics of river runoff, the exploiting conditions of underground water, the requirement of ecology and environment protection, and technical and economic elements. By imputing the potential utilizable surface and underground water, the paper offers some basis for the analysis of the bearing capacity of water resources.The paper divides the water resources of Lijiang into three units according to the three-level standard and investigates and evaluates them. On that basis, it lays emphasis on the analysis of Lijiang flatland, which is the politic, economic and cultural center of the municipality of Lijiang, according its four-level standard.Through investigation and evaluation of the water resources of Lijiang, the paper analyses water resources quantity and their distribution per year and offers a solid foundation for its future synthetical program and a guide for their reasonable development and utilization.
