This article centered on the explanation of the sentence "Less is more". From this point, the writer analyzed and discussed the development of the modern spatial modality. Through the case study of the Farnsworth House and many modern living spaces in Japan , the writer discovered that on the setting issue of space element (the least unit of interface), non-deterministic interface was used a lot which brings about great changes in the development of the modern spatial modality—from separate space to open space.
