As the expanding of modern enterprise scale, warehouse has become the most important and indispensable link in logistics system. The function and performance of automated warehouse are introduced basing on application and development of modem logistics techniques. The control and management techniques were studied emphatically in logistics system of automated warehouse combining modern science and techniques, especially computer techniques, communication techniques and information techniques. At the beginning, the basic conception about automated warehouse is introduced, and the research details about this system are also introduced in this foundation. The overall structural style for this system was designed in face of the modern warehousing industry. With regarding to the shortcoming and insufficiency in this terminal control system, thorough research was conducted, and different control patterns were designed under different warehouse types. In the warehouse management, the function of system was very simple, and all the data were operated completely by artificial patterns. In view of this, the related technology of bar code and radio frequency identification (RFID) were introduced into this system. The bar code is one of the most widespread automatic identification ways in modern warehousing industry, but RFID is the direction of automatic identification. These techniques have greatly raised the system management level, simplified the operation which must be done by artificial patterns. The corresponding module of information reports for printing was also developed to perfect the function of information management. The module has good performance in this system. In a word, the contents developed above were corrected by running and validating in the system. The system is proved to be reliable, stable, and can be operated easily. It is convenient and smart in dealing with information. It fulfils the predetermined goal and meets the actual requirements of the logistics lab. The course and experience of developing could be consulted by the relevant enterprises.
