Staggered truss frame system is a new steel structure style which is characterized by economy,efficiency and practicability.It has been applied abroad more and more widely in recent years.Whereas there is no design code can be referenced and almost no staggered truss frame system structure has been constructed in China.The paper carried out elastic response spectrum analysis on staggered truss frame system,and two ground motion records were selected to carry out elastic time-history analysis by ETABS.The paper evaluated staggered truss frame system's aseismatic performance which has different truss form,different brace,different juncture etc.The paper also carried out the elastic-plastic performance of staggered truss frame system which has different stories and different truss form in the strong earthquake zone.And the paper evaluated their aseismatic performance.The result shows that the 8 stories and 16 stories staggered truss frame system structures which have a little improvement are satisfied the requirements of seismic fortification intensity of 8 degree(0.3g),with soil typeⅢ.
