With nearly 30 years of development, Power Load Control System is evolving into a multi-purpose power load management system from a single control system .The system is partitioned to a number of functional sub-systems and is proposed to have functions such as information collection, data analysis and management forecast. As the increase of electricity users by means of traditional wireless data-transmission network can not meet the application requirements, various types of communications channels gradually are introduced to the power load management system. This paper elaborates on the design and implementation process of the GPRS-based Power Load Management System, and it makes an independent design about the system structure of the multi-level management , witch is an improvement program of GPRS network communications for the terminal equipment system , and an innovative design of multichannel and multiprotocol universal interface for management centre Software.GPRS-based Power Load Management System includes: system management centers, communication networks and the terminals. In the course of the system design, the author brings forward the GPRS multi-module self-adapted applications by using self-designed application interface to provide smooth exchange between various GPRS modules.GPRS-based Power Load Management System enriches the traditional system's application functions and enhances its comprehensive performance. GPRS-based Power Load Management System is giving the excellent performance in the rational design of the system architecture, application reliability of all levels of management centre software and operation stability of terminal equipment.
