Electric power load management system is a complete multi-functional system which integrates modern management, computer applications, automatic control and information technology. It can realize electric power business supervision and management, electro-expenses copy, data collection and network connection.Electric power load control is to control devices switch to adjust electricity on the basis of automatic control technology. With the development of the electricity market and contradiction remission between supply and demand, electric power control system evolves to electric power management system. Electric power management system can reduce the load peak, change load curve and improve power grids work. And it will make the most of limited electric resources, reduce losses caused by contradictions between supply and demand, and meet the needs of development in electric power system.The thesis designs the electric power load management system based on GPRS, which makes full use of GPRS's advantages of real-time, flow billing, high-speed data transfer. When GPRS doesn't work, system uses SMS as complenentary communication channel to ensures a reliable and stable communication. Wireless module MC55 embedded TCP/IP protocol and produced by SIEMENS company is chosen as GPRS module. It doesn't need empolder communication protocol and will speed up products development.The thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter introduces the development and effectiveness of the electric power load management and the significance for production management, and presents the research background and the main work of the thesis. The second chapter gives the structure, main function and principle of the electric power load management system, and briefly introduces the design of the master station. The third chapter introduces the structure and principle of the electric power load management terminal, elaborates the design of measurement module, describes the achievement of load control, communication and power module, analyzes the sources and types of interference, and exposits hardware and software anti-jamming and reliability design. The forth chapter introduces the TCP/IP protocol and GPRS technology dissertates the communication features, communication mode and networking programme of the power load management system, describes the data transmission protocol and frame format. The fifth chapter gives the hardware design and software implementation of GPRS communication interface, dissertates the reliability of the communication design, explains the communication data in detail.The last part summarizes the work, indicates the later work, and discusses the development direction of the power load management system.
