With the development and penetration of computer technology as well as the diversity of testing objects and tasks, the instrument buses, automation measurement system and related products have been updated. Under this condition, the LXI Bus Technology Standard has been forwarded by the LXI Consortium based on the former. More and more companies and research institutions have concentrated efforts to develop the instruments and equipments according with the LXI standard. However, currently there has been a few certified LXI products in China. The main issue in the dissertation is to research the LXI standard and technology and base on this standard to develop the logic analyzer module with highest sampling rate of 500MHz, 64 data channels and 4 clock channel.Studying and analyzing the LXI Bus technical specifications and related technology, the present dissertation proposed the design concept of LXI devices and detailedly described the design process of the relevant modules. The design of LXI the logic analyzer modules utilized the basic frame of ARM9 + FPGA, including data acquisition system, clock synchronized and trigger mode, and LAN Communications realized by an embedded operating system with network support based on embedded microprocessors. The whole system is composed of sampling channel, data acquisition modules, embedded microprocessors modules and interfaces between the modules. Firstly the paper investigated the overall LXI standard and summarized the technical means of various parts. After the hardware structure of the system was advanced, we designed the hardware unit of the modules according to the technical requirements of LXI data acquisition modules. The logic analyzer module was realized in FPGA internal circuits, while the LXI trigger and synchronization in a mixed software and hardware solution. At last, the prospect to improve the system was put forward.
