Culture-oriented Urban Regeneration Strategy

With the development of the city, there is a phenomenon existing in some cities or local districts that the vigor of them loss seriously or decline gradually, thus the revival of the city becomes a hot spot in the study of the city's development. During the process, the culture treated as an important method is adopted by more and more countries. The article is based on such a circumstance to study that under the new time background, how to guide the revival of the downfall area through the culture for the purpose of concerning the shaping of the city's character and the reproduction of the urban vitality as well as the satisfaction of the spiritual demand of people to realize the true goal of the city revival.In this paper, some cases of the revival of the city is analyzed in the method of classification, induction and example demonstration and a series of effective measure are summarized, which further perfect the theory and the practice of the revival of the city with the strategy of culture and provide scientific basis .The article is divided into two parts and six chapters.The first part is mainly about the analysis of the realistic problem and historical theory. In the first and second chapter, after the analysis of the research situation of the city's revival at home and abroad, the development trend is obtained that the city revives must pay attention to the humanities connotation, namely to human's attention, particularly to the human's life related with the city history culture connotation. Then in the basic of theory summary and research analysis, the strategy of culture-oriented to draw the city revives through the construction of culture landmarks, the reconstruction of culture area and the hosting of cultural festival is proposed.The other part is about method and practice. It is divided into three chapters and seven aspects to make induction, classification and summary about lots of successful cases at home and abroad. Some typical instances are used to describe and verify the method and practice.The culture display the positive promoter action in the city revival process. We should summarize and study the theory and practice of the west and unify our country's actual situation with them to creatively popularize it and make a promotion to the revival and development of our cities.
