The Development And Application Of Power Remote Meter Reading System

With the economic development, the needs of remote automatic meter reading system have been growing. With the rapid development of electronic technology, computer technology and communication technology, intelligent remote automatic meter reading has become possible. This paper developed a remote meter reading system to realize the intelligent management and monitoring to Wei Cheng oil field. This system greatly improves the management efficiency, and also improves electricity security.In this paper, discuss the development and applications of remote meter reading system for electric power, working principle, system components, hardware configuration and software design aiming at the characteristics of electric power metering of Wei Cheng oil field. The system collects and transmits data through a wireless device module, communicates with the host through the serial port. Power managements collect data through the host computer to realize the power remote wireless meter reading function. It replaces manual meter-reading and a series of follow-up work on electric energy metering automatic data collection, transmitting and processing, to overcome traditional low efficiency and risks of manual meter reading patterns, and promotes the modern development process of enterprise energy management. This system uses FOXBASE as a database management tool, which is characterized by strong compatibility, running fast, to achieve the realization of the power remote meter reading system. The system is suitable for the characteristics of electric operation in Wei Cheng oil field, with obvious application effect, and provides a reliable basis for the next round.The field test results proved that, the system designed in this paper operated steadily and reliably and are economical and credible.
