Shenzhen-hong Kong Campus Planning And Design

As the persistent enlargement of the higher education, Chinese campus development is at a record-breaking speed. At the present time, more and more practices of campus planning and architecture design take place in China, particularly reflected in the thriving constructions of campus constructions in Shenzhen.As a syntheses of teaching, learning, reaserching, living and entertainment, campus is seen as the laboratory of urban design. For architects, it is interesting and meaningful to discuss how to read and understand campus planning and design and how to combine design ideas and spirit of campus.As one of the most developed region in higher education in Asia, Hongkong has a mature experience in campus development. And Shenzhen as a new city, it is at high speed in campus building project. For this purpose, the article seizing on campuses in Shenzhen and Hong Kong as the object of study, with a host of field research and literature reading, aiming at some strategic sectors for the planning and design of campus, makes an effort to explore the inherent law of campus'design in Shenzhen and Hong Kong by means of innovative way of thinking. On the other hand, the subject, through bringing campus of Shenzhen and Hong Kong into comparison , has verified universality and specialty of presented design law and groped for significance to Shenzhen of drawing on the Hong Kong's experience in campus ,besides,submitting a direction of campus'development.
