In order to understand the breed characteristics and the relationships between blood biochemical indexes and eggs laying performances in Shanma duck, the breeding performance and blood chemistry indicator, include the total protein values (TP,X1), albumin (ALB, X2), globulin (GLB, X3), albumin/globulin ratio (A/G, X4), glutamate pyruvate transminase (GPT, X5), glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT,X6), GOT/GPT ratio (GO/GP,X7), glutamyl transferase (GGT,X8), alkaline phosphatase (AKP, X9), total cholesterol (CHOL, X10), triglyeride (TG, X11), high density lipoprotein (HDL, X12), low density lipoprotein (LDL,X13), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH, X14), blood urea nitrogen (BUN, X15), uric acid (UA, X16) and the number of eggs from 180d to 300d, were measured. The relationships between blood biochemical indexes and eggs laying performances were investigated, and the blood biochemical indices and the number of eggs were analyzed with optimization regression equation. The best regression equation between the blood biochemical indexes and the number of eggs was then established. Results showed:1. the total protein values, albumin, globulin, albumin/globulin ratio, glutamate pyruvate transminase, glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase, GOT/GPT ratio, glutamyl transferase, alkaline phosphatase, total cholesterol, triglyeride, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, lactate dehydrogenase, blood urea nitrogen, uric acid were 67.571±5.522 g/L,23.371±3.296 g/L, 44.289±3.252 g/L,0.529±0.071,48.022±11.036 U/L,37.622±21.895 U/L,0.795±0.430,3.333±1.945 U/L,187.511±106.655 U/L,4.231±1.049 mmol/L,15.704±4.925 mmol/L,1.642±0.568 mmol/L,-4.589±1.695 mmol/L,526.311±274.741U/L,0.912±0.235 mmol/L,444.733±100.079μmol/L respectively。2. The parameters of egg performance were the time of laying rate reaching up to 5% (101.33±5.12d), age at first egg (laying rate 50%) (114.26±3.42d), the numbers of eggs at 300 days (148.08±3.21), egg weight at 300 days (70.03±8.95g), the total egg weight from age at first egg to 300 days (9.90±1.23kg)。3. TP, ALB, GLB, A/G and CHOL were significant correlation with the numbers of eggs at (P< 0.05). The results showed TP, ALB, GLB, A/G and CHOL had great effect on the numbers of eggs, and other indices oppositely.4. The results of path analysis indicated:first of all, TP has the greatest positive directs on the numbers of eggs, and uniform with coefficient of correlation (0.627).Then GLB (-1.966) and GOT (-1.204) had the greater negative effect on the numbers of eggs. In fine, the influence of ALB (0.848) on he numbers of eggs were little relatively. It was revealed the real relationships between blood chemistry indices and the numbers of eggs. The optimization regression equation of the number of eggs and blood biochemical indices was: Y=-15.503x1+15.706x2+15.697x3+43.412x7+74.386. Their regression relation was significant (p< 0.01), the partial regression coefficient all so (p<0.01), and the index of correlation was 0.687.The results of the analysis will have certain significance for early selection of Shanma Duck using the blood biochemical traits.
