Speakers River Nature Reserve Forest Ecological Carrying Capacity Study

Labahe Natural Reserve, one of the hot-topic wilderness areas in the world, is in the southwest of Sichuan. It is a fauna and flora reserve with dense forest and plays an important role in the protection of the great nature.Considering human activities' influence on the nature and vice versa, having taken the characters of the great nature and the reality of Labahe Nature Reserve into account and systematically analyzes its actual resources circumstances by applying theories of Forest Economics, Ecology, Environmental Science and Ecological Economics, the paper has found the main problems. Adopting specialist-consulting measure, stratified random sampling measure and experimental measure with 3S technology, the paper sets up an index system for the evaluation of ecological resilience of the wilderness area and then makes the conclusion and countermeasures as follows:1. On the whole the Labahe Natural Reserve area is still in good condition with the characteristic value of ecological resilience 0.596.2. Some overloading problems exist. According to the resilience reports of the five observation posts in the area, Suosuopeng post is still in good condition. Anyhow the overloading condition of Lianghekou post and Mofanggou post are in the middle level while Angzhouhe post and Dachaopuo post slightly overloaded.Based on the analysis above, the paper puts forward the following countermeasures both in technical level and policy level known as function dividing, management diversity, timely forest thinning,scientifically exploiting,management strengthening, ecotourism cultivating and setting up eco-compensation mechanism,etc.
