Objective By studying the relevant information of the patients with central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) in fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA), we graded the degree of optic disc edema and analyzed the relationship between optic disc edema grading and sex, eye sex, age, blood pressure and duration as well as explore the correlation between the optic disc edema grading and visual acuity, macular edema type, retinal capillary non-perfusion (NP), retinal neovascularization (RNV) and consistent support. It is expect to improve understanding of CRVO of optic disc edema, and provide the basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of CRVO.Method We retrospectively analyzed the relevant data and information of 113 cases (113 eyes) with CRVO by FFA confirmed and without the other eye diseases. This study graded the degree of optic disc edema by fluorescence situation of optic disc at 30 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds and typed the degree of macular edema in FFA late. At the same time we use the software of spassl6.0 to analyze the relationship between optic disc edema grading and sex, eye sex, age, blood pressure, duration, visual acuity, macular edema type, NP, RNV and consistent support.Result1. In 113 cases (113 eyes) CRVO,105 cases (92.92%,105/113) turned out optic disc edema, only 8 cases (6.19%, 7/113) did not turn out optic disc edema.2. In 105 cases CRVO with optic disc edema, the cases of mild optic disc edema accounted for 20.95%(22/105), the cases of moderate optic disc edema accounted for 43.81%(46/105), and the cases of severe optic disc edema accounted for 35.24%(37/105).3. In 105 cases CRVO with optic disc edema, there were 16 cases Below the age of 40 are dominated by severe optic disc edema accounting for 62.50%(10/16) in its own group and 89 cases over the age of 40 dominated by moderate optic disc edema accounting for 44.94%(40/89) in its own group. We compared three types of optic disc edema in the age of below 40 years and the age of over 40, there was a significant difference (P<0.05).4. In 105 cases CRVO with optic disc edema, we found patients whose visual acuity in the range of below 0.1 are dominated by severe optic disc edema, whose visual acuity in the range of 0.1 to 0.5 are dominated by moderate optic disc edema, and whose visual acuity in the range of above 0.6 are dominated by mild optic disc edema. We compared the three types of optic disc edema in difference visual acuity groups, there was a significant difference(r=-0.742, P<0.05) and negative correlation between the two.5.8 cases CRVO with no optic disc edema did not turn out macular edema. In 105 cases CRVO,7 cases did not turn out macular edema. In these 7 cases, there were 3 cases with mild optic disc edema,4 cases with moderate optic disc edema and no case with severe optic disc edema. We compared the degree of optic disc edema in the type of macular edema, there was a significant difference (P<0.05). There was a positive correlation between the type of macular edema and the degree of optic disc edema (r=0.588, P<0.05).6.6 cases with suspected NP were excluded. In 99 cases CRVO with optic disc edema, 52 cases turned out NP, We compared presence or absence of NP in the degree of optic disc edema, the difference was significant (P<0.05).7. In 105 cases CRVO with optic disc edema,6 cases turned out consistent support in the temporal macular. In these 6 cases,4 cases turned out severe optic disc edema,2 cases turned out mild optic disc edema. And 8 cases turned out consistent support of optic disc. In these 8 cases,6 cases turned out severe optic disc edema,2 cases turned out moderate optic disc.Conclusion1. Most patients with CRVO have turned out optic disc edema. And different patients turned out different severity of optic disc edema. Most young CRVO patients have turned out severe optic disc edema. Patients who turned out severe optic disc edema had poor visual acuity.2. More serious optic disc edema more serious macular edema. There was positive correlation between optic disc edema and macular edema. Optic disc edema may be had occurred before macular edema occurred, optic disc edema might be an important factors in affecting macular edema.3. More serious optic disc edema, more possible occurrence of NP.4. In severe cases, it is vulnerable to the trend of turning out consistent support in the temporal macular or consistent support of optic disc. This may be a compensatory response to the body.
