| Abstract:The terminology translation has proven the key and difficult point in the scientific translation, and its importance has been widely recognized by many scholars and organization concerned. The terminologies involved in the Diagrams are extremely rich in content. The present article begins with a brief introduction of the definition of terminology, which is followed by an investigation into its seven features by making use of specific examples from the book Diagrams: Innovative Solutions for Graphic Designers. In addition, the article offers an automatically and artificially qualitative and quantitative analysis of the target terminology with the aid of the electronic methods, including Google searching tool and Lingoes translation software, in conjunction with online corpora such as Jukuu, CKNI and the website of China National Committee for Terms in Sciences and Technologies, which helps to determine the meaning of a terminology in a certain context, thus producing a correct and natural translation. |
