The Status Quo And Strategies Of Track And Field Optional Course In Higher Education Instituations Of Anhui Province

The research object of the essay is public sports track and field elective courses in 12 colleges and universities in Anhui Province, and the research methods are literature, questionnaire surveys, expert interviews, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis and logical analysis. The investigation and analysis proved that the public sports track and field elective in 12 colleges and universities in Anhui Province has followed the original disciplinary centers and has relatively strong athletic features currently. It specifically expressed that the goals of intrinsic relationship between the track and field elective is rather vague, the objectives and content is of out of touch, the implementation class can not meet the needs of students, and evaluation mode of the lesson is complete while the operational means lags behind. This paper carried out arguments on these issues, and proposed by integrate theory with practice that athletics elective in public physical education should be followed by such principles as objectives, content, implementation and evaluation. At the end, the author also proposed some relevant development strategies.Track and field once has a high status in public physical education curriculum in colleges and universities, but it has not only developed properly, but also faced the embarrassment of extinction with the deepen reform of college physical education. The author made a deepen analysis and research about the status of PE track and field elective in public colleges and universities in Anhui Province. The research was set up from the teaching guiding ideology, teaching objectives, teaching content, teaching methods and means, teaching facilities and equipment and teaching evaluation. It was found that the following main issues existed in PE track and field elective teaching in public colleges and universities:the guiding ideology is not clear; traditional teaching model hinder the track and field teaching; fixed forms and methods made track and field teaching lose their vitality; it is hard to get widely recognized by students in track and field teaching; elective courses of track and field teaching faces the challenge of reform. On this basis, the author put forward the following countermeasures and suggestions:foster a "health first" and "quality education" concepts of education reform in track and field elective courses, make "Happy Sport" ideology as a guide; teaching goals should be diversity and explicit; make proper choices in construction of the new system; change the rigid and system flexible; make full use of all aspects of teaching resources. After make the investigation and countermeasure in the status of public sports track and field elective, the corresponding development which is mainly depend on the investigation and countermeasure in track and field elective syllabus, teaching status, capacity building of students, faculty, etc., was proposed. It is aimed at suit the trend of reform and development of China's public physical education, and exerts the fitness effective fully for the college students in developing their health.
