A questionnaire survey among540students and45teachers in9PE institutes in Fujian Province was conducted based on the use of literature, questionnaire, expert interviews, logical analysis, analysis and comparison method, and mathematical statistics method. And many experts at sport injuries and track and field were consulted. According to the information and data collected on the status of sports injury, the conclusions are drawn after discussion:1. The sport injuries of the students from PE institutes in universities and colleges of Fujian Province rate up to82.5%.The positions of injury are mainly concentrated in six parts:the lower leg (15.4%), ankle (14.4%), knee (11.3%), thigh (12.5%)lower back (11.9%), wrist (11.1%), and the main are acute injury (57.6%), chronic injury (42.4%) is mainly concentrated in the lower limbs; the types of injuries are joint and ligament damage, and soft tissue injury; the time of injury is mainly in the spring (32.2%) and winter (36.4%).2. The sport injuries and the students’degrees are negative correlation (P<0.01), which means that higher exercise levels, the fewer the number of injured; the sport injuries and the students’age and heights are unrelated(P>0.05); sport injuries and students’scores of sports college entrance examination are negatively correlated (P <0.01), which suggests that the higher the score were before entering university, the fewer the number of injuries in track and field course will happen.3. The reasons for the track and field sport injury are divided into potential causes and direct causes. The potential causes include track and field characteristics and school assessment standards; direct causes include the physiological factors (23.7%):lack of muscle strength, flexibility, sensitivity, body fatigue, old wounds healed; teaching and training factors (27.1%):lack of preparation activities, the exercise load is too large, improper teaching organizations, the unreasonable arrangements of teaching contents, and students practice without following the correct orders, the unreasonable time arrangement; technical factors (20.3%):the error of technical movements, lack of self-protection action, the unskilled technical action; psychological factors (13.7%):the depressive moods of students in class, high excitability and the lack of attention or absent-mindedness, poor self-protection awareness; other factors (15.2%):the venue, equipment, clothing, weather, emergencies, and daily living habits (diet, daily).4. The unreasonable time arrangements of the track and field courses in the PE institutes of Fujian Province largely affect the emergence of the sport injury.
