In mathematics teaching, teachers should develop the students'ability on the most important teaching position. Teaching students how to study has already become the most important goal of education in the current society. With the constant development and deepening of educational reform, teaching methods and learning styles are changing constantly. The new types of learning are reflected in the classroom teaching. For example, the self-learning, cooperative learning, inquiry-based learning, and research-based learning require teachers in the teaching process in a positive interaction with students and develop together, focusing on training students the independence and autonomy, to guide students to question, investigate, explore, and practice,to promote the initiative of students and the full personalized learning. The most important of these requirements is that students should learn how to learn, think, in fact that is to grasp the learning metacognitive knowledge and monitoring of the process of learning problems. therefore, in mathematics teaching, teachers must develop the cognitive abilities of students and train the students'meta-cognitive ability at the same time.This paper briefly describes the current research results by meta-cognition in mathematics education and discusses the meaning and structure of meta-cognition. It also examines the importance of the meta-cognition in the middle school mathematics. And it attaches the importance to the cultivation of meta-cognition in mathematics teaching. on the basis,Be aimed at middle school mathematical education practice here, I choose the students from Class 4,Grade 9 in NingDe Experimental School as the object of study and carry out the research of training meta-cognitive ability on the student in mathematical education. I have got preliminary results through training meta-cognitive ability on the students and the implementation of a number of teaching strategies. The experimental results showed that: Specific learning content through a combination of training students in meta-cognitive ability, I am able to enhance their level of meta-cognitive and their interest and attitudes to the mathematics study, and I can even improve students'mathematics achievement...
