Since the late 90s of last century, the whole development of higher education takes on a popular trend because of the gradual enrollment of China's higher education. A number of newly- established colleges rank in the burgeoning power. However, Different college, different student's needs, and different needs of the society are bound to affect the characteristic road of higher education with a unified standard. This requires us to cultivate the talent who are needed by the society and market using the standard of meeting the individual needs of students and the employers. Some of the scholars have put forward some problems in the orientation and teaching management of new-established colleges. But so far the issues raised by them are highly theoretical and did not combine with the case, and the concerns of college students are concentrated in specific groups of college students. Therefore, putting forward of the methods of how to conduct ideological and political education of college students and conduct research and study, not only has theoretical significance, but also has practical significance.This paper will make the survey according to the current students in Hengshui College and design the questionnaire. It will investigate the study, practice, life, and thoughts aspects of college students, to get the complete information and analyze the new situation and new problems, trying to find the countermeasures on the basis of the analysis to make sure the study is justified and evidenced. This article includes introduction, body and conclusion, which are divided into six parts:As part of the beginning of the main paper, introduction mainly talked four issues: putting forward of the problem and the significance of this study; the status quo of the issue; the object, focus, difficulties and innovation of the study; the introduction of idea in the research process and the main methods.The first chapter introduces some conceptions: the classification standard of the international education, the characteristics of application-oriented university, and the positioning of Hengshui College. Some related conceptions are described. Furthermore, the characteristics of application-oriented universities and the roles of them in training talents were analyzed in this part. The second chapter is the overview of the behavior status quo in application-oriented university. Compared with other types of universities, it will make the detailed summary and conclusion on the students` behavior through the analysis on the acts of students` learning situation, social practice conditions, living conditions, and state of mind.The third chapter is current behavior analysis of the student in application-oriented university. The paper will make the research and conclusion through various channels, and point out the common problems of students which they meet in learning and daily life in case of Hengshui College.The fourth chapter proposes the specific cultivated measures of the current situation. This chapter gives effective strategies to solve the problem according to the analysis of the former issues.Finally, the positioning and characteristics of application-oriented universities, the behavior of students in application-oriented universities and the purpose and meaning of this issue are summarized in the conclusion.
