Students with mild to moderate intellectual disability have a strong need for heterosexual intercourse during adolescence,but because they have not received timely education and proper guidance,they cannot adapt to the imbalance of physical and psychological development.They have shown many problematic behaviors during heterosexual intercourse.At present,there are few studies on the state of heterosexual behavior problems of students with mental retardation,and there is no appropriate measurement tool for the assessment of heterosexual problem behaviors of students with mental retardation.This study comprehensively analyzes the status of heterosexual communication problem behaviors of students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities in junior high school,and puts forward corresponding education suggestions.The purpose of this study is to develop a special scale for measuring heterosexual behavior in students with mild to moderate intellectual disability based on the current research on the behavior of heterosexual behavior in students with mild to moderate intellectual disability.Using this questionnaire to make early diagnosis and discover of heterosexual problem behaviors of students with mild to moderate mental retardation,and select appropriate education strategies and intervention methods based on the measurement results.The research divided into two parts:The first part is a qualitative study of heterosexual behaviors among students with mild to moderate intellectual disability.Through the observation of behaviors of six students with mild to moderate intellectual disability in junior middle school and interviews with 20 teachers,analyze and discuss the behavioral manifestations,causes and intervention status of heterosexual problems among students with intellectual disabilities in junior high.The second study was to compile a questionnaire on heterosexual behavior among students with intellectual disabilities.After the initial compilation,the questionnaire process the item analysis,exploratory factor analysis,reliability test,and confirmatory factor analysis.Moreover,a measurement tool meets the psychological standards of various indicators.The following conclusions obtained based on the resultsof the study:Heterosexual problem behaviors are common in students with intellectual disability in junior high school.Here are the main reasons for the problem of heterosexual behavior.Firstly,it is unbalance between physical and mental development of students with intellectual disability.Secondly,schools lack effective guidance for heterosexual behavior problems of students with intellectual disabilities.Thirdly,parents ignore the need for heterosexual communication among students with intellectual disability.Finally,there is an increase in unhealthy information in society that negative affects correct understanding of heterosexual intercourse.The self-edited questionnaire on heterosexual behavior of students with intellectual disability has good reliability and validity,which could measure the problem of heterosexual behavior of students with intellectual disability.The questionnaire contains four factors: excessive behavior,physical contact,improper expression,and unknown boundaries.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper proposes educational interventions for heterosexual problem behaviors of students with mild to moderate intellectual disability in junior high school.
