Although the writing teaching is taken as the essential part and is highlighted in languages teaching,its effects is still unsaticfactory. Most of students still cannot write well and even feel difficult in writing. The author thinks the reason for that is the exam-oriented education. Under the exam-oriented education system, writing teaching has lost its dirrection and narrowened its aim. That is to say, its aim is just to pass the exam.As a result, writing which is full of experience,interests and conversation of life has become a dull,tiring closed training. And during the closed training, the cultivating of sense of readers has been ignored.To change the condition of writing without sense of readers, writing teaching should be carried out with the sense of readers throughout the course. This thesis undertakes to discuss the nature of writing, its actual process and necessity of sense of readers in writing. Introducing the relevant research from home and abroard, it analyzes the concept of sense of readers and its function performed in writing. By using the theory of reception aesthetics and communication in writing teaching reform for one year, the function and effects of cultivating sense of readers in writing has been verified. The conclusion is that it can help stutents overcome the block in writing and improving their ability to write effectively.
