Objective:Regarding male juvenile delinquency as the research object. To study the relationship of family environments, parental behaviors, personality and mental health. And explore the influencing factors of mental health.Methods:Questionnaire survey was applied,125 male juvenile criminals were investigated with FES-CV, EMBU, EPQ-RSC and SCL-90.The results were compared with national norm and control group.Results:The family environments of male juvenile criminals were worse than the environments of the national norm and control group. The male juvenile delinquency had poor parental rearing patterns. The patterns of their parents were different. The scores of personality characteristics of national norm are significantly higher than male juvenile criminals'. The mental health of male juvenile criminals was good. These factors were relevant to mental health:cohesion, conflict and organization were from family environments; stern punishment and refusing negation were from parental behaviors; emotional expression was from personality.Conclusion:The results showed that the obvious correlativity existed between family environments, parental behaviors, personality and mental health. In the following ways, we can improve the mental health level of male juvenile delinquency:improve their family environment; change their parental behaviors; strengthen their character education etc.
