The government have began to reform the senior-middle school new curriculum reform since 2004.Many specialists found that the implement of new curriculum in practice will restrict the result of this reform during over six years practice researching. All the senior-middle school in XinJiang will carry out the new curriculum form September 2008. XinJiang is in the northwest of China. There are many ethnic groups. The curriculum leadership behaviors of the senior-middle school in XinJiang have many difficulties in the face of carrying out the new curriculum reform. Many principal of senior-middle school have fear of difficulty with how to implement the new curriculum reform. Many educational researches found the principal is the focus elements that decide the success of educational reform. The principals have little idea of curriculum leadership. Most principals in senior middle school don't try themselves best to reform the new course. They still hold the traditional style that they pay no attention to the curriculum leadership. So the research about the curriculum leadership behavior is important and efficient way to learn and research the curriculum reform.The thesis collects and sorts out the material about curriculum leadership, learning some works and passages in native and aboard specialists, analyzing the researches in current. The essay also arranges some researches on the theories of transformative leadership, transformative curriculum leadership, the principal curriculum leadership, building the theory frame about principal curriculum leadership behavior. According the theory on transformative leadership, the write compiled the questionnaire on principal curriculum leadership behaviors in XinJiang. Analyzing the principal transformative curriculum leadership by six angles: the charm of curriculum, the encouragement of curriculum aspiration, showing individual loving care for teacher, the common community of curriculum leadership, the collection and utilization for curriculum resources, the two aspects of transactional curriculum leadership. The purpose is to know the transformative curriculum leadership behavior on senior-middle school in XinJiang currently.The author used the way combining the qualitative analysis and the quantitative analysis to analysis the questionnaire data. The author has many times interviews with the senior-middle school principal. In the end, the author found that there are many problems in transformative curriculum leadership behavior in the middle school in XinJiang . The level of transformative curriculum leadership behavior in these schools is low. The transformative curriculum leadership behavior has something to do with the nature of school, the principal's age, the principal's professional post, the principal's academic credentials. it also has something to do with the whole teacher's quality.By investigations and analyzing the material, the author hope to find the reason that the principal have the trouble with the transformative curriculum leadership behavior. Based on these problems the author gives some advices from six angles to improve transformative curriculum leadership behavior. The author also gives some advices about the principals curriculum reform training .Improve the curriculum reform from establishing service system, establishing the evaluation system about curriculum reform training, paying close attention to the principals training requirement, creating the training model. It can smoothly and efficiently promote the curriculum reform in senior-middle school in XinJiang.
