Guangdong Province Economic Disparity Study

As an economic Phenomenon,the regional economic disparity is provided with universality. It is also very notable in China,among the four plates areas and among provinces. At the same time,the inner regional economic disparity in all provinces are very evident.With 20 years of high-speed development,Guangdong has become the most powerful economy province in China. However,due to the different qualifications between the regionals in Guangdong,such as natural conditions,inherent economic foundations and political priorities,the economic gap between the regionals are increasingly augmenting.Under the background of research of this field,the paper considers correlative theories of regional economies,developmental economies,econometrics and information science as instruction,combines empirical analysis and normative analysis,and analyses systematically the regional economic disparity in Guangdong. The main research contents include:the methodology of studying regional economic disparity,the definition of regional economic disparity,the comprehensive index system and method measuring regional economic disparity;The empirical analysis of the urban economy disparity in Guangdong;The coordinated development strategy of the urban economy in Guangdong.Through the research,main conclusions can be made as follow :①establish thecomprehensive estimating indexes system to measure regional economic disparity;②the factors of causing regional economic disparity in Guangdong is involved with four areas: economic, social, infrastructure, resources and environment;③the regional economic disparity of all lays in Guangdong are very evident,regional characteristics of the level of the urban economy is quite obvious,developed cities are concentrated in the Pearl River Delta.④there are six main factors which affect economic differences between cities in Guangdong, namely economic size,per capita economic level,people's living standards,enterprise technology development level,infrastructure scale and per capita social environment level;⑤economic differences between cities in Guangdong mainly for such five reasons,namely, differences in natural conditions,differences in national preferential policies,population quality differences,differences in industrial structure and the Pearl River Delta region "growth pole" not yet formed;⑥Coordinated economic development in Guangdong can start from three paths: the policy guidance,the infrastructure construction and the industrial restructuring.
