The report at 17th National Congress pointed out that" to create conditions to enable more people to own property income", which is the theory of distribution in our development of the new historical period. In recent years, China's property income of urban and rural residents per capita made a rapid growth. Property income per capita has gradually growing in the proportion of total income. The acquisition of property income is also increasing in diverse channels. However, compared urban residents with rural residents, you'll find the general income level of the latter is low, the revenue has slowed down, the peasants' income is low in property income, non-balanced growth in property income expands the income gap between urban and rural residents.To narrow down the income gap between urban and rural residents is a subject of current interest to be tackled for the sake of following a scientific approach of development and building a harmonious society.Conducted within a Marxist frame of reference, this thesis systematically studied property income level and the gap between urban residents and rural residents in recent years, integrating theory with practice, applying methods of standardized analysis and empirical analysis and other methods on the basis of thumbing through much document,. By means of comparing the structures of property income between Urban residents and rural residents and analyzing the causes of property income gap between urban and rural residents, this thesis presents proposals and advices for reducing the income gap between urban and rural residents and increasing income of rural residents.
