After the the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC issuing the three telecommunication operators 3G license in 2009, our telecommunication industry has officially entered the 3G era. China Mobile Communication Corporation (China Mobile) was authorized to operate TD-SCDMA standard, which, we own independent intellectual property rights, was also the most immature of the three technical standards. Therefore, China Mobile will face unprecedented d fficulties as there is no experience to refer to in the world. Under such cconditions China Mobile how to develop 3G buiness is what will be studied in this paper.This paper studies mainly China Mobile how to enter the 3G market and sharpen its competitive edge after obtaining its 3G license. The paper firstly introduces the concept of 3G services and its business lines. Secondly, the paper introduces the current development of 3G services in Europe and North American, and the problems that Japan and South Korea experienced in their 3G development and operation the reference that China Mobile may learn. Thirdly, the paper introduces China Mobile's current situation of 3G development. At last, the paper analyzes China Mobile's business development strategies based on its current situation.The studies in the paper may provide a certain practical sgnificance for China Mobile to enter the 3G market, win customers quickly, further expand business scope and have leading position.
