Energy-intensive industry as the pillar of the national economy plays a very important role in developing China's economy. But this industry is of typically high pollution, high energy consumption and high input. And if circular economy is realized in energy-intensive industry, the contradiction between economic development, energy waste and environmental pollution will be released. At present, the analytical framework of indicator system concerning circular economy has been basically formed and it plays a certain role in guiding industry to achieve circular economy. Nevertheless, a set of indicator system conforming to industry's own characteristics has not yet been established in view of different energy-intensive industries. Therefore, research into the indicator system adopted in energy-intensive industry to develop circular economy is a significant subject.This thesis firstly describes the current research, basic idea and evaluation principle of indicator system in energy-intensive industry based on circular economy. Meanwhile, on the basis of indicator layer in terms of comprehensive performance, integrating the pollutant mechanism and its characteristics in respect of thermal power industry, chemical, metallurgy and building material industry as well, the thesis establishes their own indicator system respectively and gives a detailed account of indicator selections. Then, according to the current development of Lubei Eco-Industrial Park and based on the indicator system of comprehensive performance in chemical and building material industry, the indicator system of comprehensive performance in Lubei Eco-Industrial Park has been constructed. Last, the author presents his views on how to construct the indicator system of comprehensive performance in energy-intensive industry based on circular economy, aiming to make the indicator system more perfect and better promote the healthy development of energy-intensive industry.
