With the rapid development of tourism industry, people have paid more and more attention to shaping the total image of tourism industry. In China, many regions have begun to design or redesign their visual logos of tourism. The present paper points out the positive significance of logos of regional tourism in the following aspects: representing the tourism visualization of regions; communicating cultures between different regions, and creating commercial values. In this study, problems in both design and application of the logos of regional tourism in China were studied. At the same time, we also summarize the common features of the outstanding Chinese regional tourism logos. We also discuss design strategies of the regional tourism logos in the following aspects: orientation of the visualization of regional tourism; excavation of regional culture; and the uniqueness of regional tourism logos. This paper might have implications for future practice of logo design of regional tourism. |
