Mental stress is the physiological, psychological or behavioral response that generates after person's evaluation of harmful external environment, threats, challenges. Excessive, long-term mental pressure will cause physical, psychological and behavioral damage to individual. Grass-roots People's Bank of China employees would be often under different degree of mental stress from life and work. This research focuses on their mental stress situation, mental stress source and stress management strategies.This study selects 210 employees from the people's bank in L city as the research object, Adopting stress scale, pressure source scale and stress management scale etc. as research tools, and using SPSS 11.5 software to presses the data to analyses the Mental stress situation, mental stressor and stress management strategy for grass-roots bank employees.Research results show that:the average score of the grass-roots bank employees' mental stress feeling is 3.56, showing that mental stress has reached the medium level. Their mental stress feeling differs in gender, marital status, educational background, the nature of work, title and positions are some significant differences. The 6 mental stress stressors of the grass-roots bank employees respectively are:organization structure, personal achievement and future, social environment, the working pressure, family pressures and interpersonal relationship, Of which the top three are job stress, personal achievement, organization structure. There is certain correlation between the staff mental stressor and gender, marital status, educational background, work departments, title, positions. The availability score of the 6 Pressure coping styles from high to low in turn for:problem solving, rational analysis, avoidance, seeking support, self-blame, and illusion. The way how bank employees react differ in age, gender, marital status, educational background, work departments, title, and positions. There is certain degree of correlation between the influence degree of the mental stress source and the six stress coping styles.
