In this new era when science and technology changing with each passing day and acting as the foundation of a country, the competitiveness of scientific innovation has critical impact on the developing of a nation and as the result, R&D human resource becomes the most valuable resource. China, as a developing country, is suffering severe threaten of losing elites, especially R&D elites. Behind the human resource losing, the negative influence that work stress has on mental status is a main cause.So this study made a close look at R&D employees'work stress through questionnaire search of 420 R&D employees from new-emerging manufacturing companies of Shanghai. It aims to find out part of the reasons behind the human resource losing phenomenon in the angle of work stress. With the help of SPSS, the study analyzed R&D employees'stressors, stress perception, physical and mental status and stress influencing mechanical as well.
