With global integration trend under the background of accelerating, more and more multinational enterprises and domestic enterprise began to form virtual team for project implementation, with the way the application of virtual team, multinational of the implementation of the IT project began to become multinational enterprises to carry out a way of IT projects. Different from traditional face-to-face communication in the IT project mainly, such implementation of IT projects broke through the time and the region boundary, the project team members distribution in different countries or cities, come from different enterprise organization, and team communication is based on information technology as electronic communication mainly.As R company for an example, R company integrated each district IT departments together, to provide integrated technical support and project implementation service for more than 20 countries and nearly 100 offices and factories in the world. With a ERP implementation project for example in Asia Pacific, IT project lead is located in Shanghai, the project sponsor is located in Australia, project stakeholders respectively is located in Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore, the project's concrete implementation and follow-up service is outsourced to a software supplier in India, a team formed by R company internal IT, implemente the project by different countries IT technology department, meanwhile, ERP server technical support and database management located in China, the United States and Europe, those IT staff realize the technical support for this project.This across the organization boundary and regional multinational team, with a virtual, no boundary, networked, resources and knowledge sharing as the characteristics and help solve many multinationals in globalization strategy of project implementation meet problem. But because cultural differences in different countries, jet lag is different in international IT project, the implementation of the project management of each tache brings new challenges, especially team members of different regions and the jet lag, communication tool, bring the diversification of one of the biggest challenge is how to effectively communicate and what kind of communication way is the most suitable for the current communication needs. If this kind of international IT project implementation communication management preparation shortage, or don't realize to reasonable choose corresponding communication tool, IT project lead is very easy to produce the project miscommunication between team members, lead to the trust is not enough, and the failure of the project communication will bring project implementation difficulties.Now this kind of domestic and foreign enterprise international IT project communication mode and communication tool selection have relevant experience accumulation of virtual team, in the use of communication tools, also more and more research on the virtual team after carried IT project is not particularly popular, the related literature research and the traditional project management research or rare, so this paper compared with my work at the R company multinational project team in communication problems as the research background, the use of communication tools properties and selection factors for research and analysis, this paper summarizes the team for international communication styles and communication tools use advice, and applied to the actual project implementing case, improves the project implementation of communication effect; this paper will have some theoretical and practical reference for implementing IT projects in terms of the multinational project team.
