Research Of Building Key Performance Indicator For Provincial Grid

After defining the scheme of strategic development, implementation of the scheme becomes the key point in the next phase of the Provincial Grid Company's work management. The strategic performance index is a real-time or time indicator of the implementation of the scheme, thus an important means to achieve strategic management. To build a scientific strategic performance index is vital to the realization of Provincial Grid Company's goals.By constructing a scientific and reasonable index system that covers the Provincial Grid headquarter, its various departments, subsidiary secondary organization and municipal level power supply bureaus, the Provincial Grid Company's strategic performance will be managed in an index-based method and the strategy implementation capability will be inhanced.Based on the Provincial Grid Company's need for "uniform organization, uniform institution, uniform process and uniform index system" and the need to extend management, this paper makes a thorough research and analysis on the thoughts, methods and steps of constructing a index system. With practical consultations on the construction process of many companies of the power industry, this paper proposes BSC as the methodology of building a strategic performance index system.The provincial grid index system involves many parties that include not only different departments in the Provincial Grid Company but also subsidiary secondary organizations and municipal level power supply bureaus. How to maintain the consistency of the index and to foster a scientific and reasonable supporting structure is also a major point discussed in this paper.
