Absorption Capacity Of Competitive Advantage Empirical Research

At present, under the background of knowledge-based economy knowledge resources has replaced material resources and financial resources to become the most important and the most strategic resources, economic growth is more dependent on the exploitation and utilization knowledge. Enterprises are mainly through knowledge to obtain competitive advantage, but most of the enterprise knowledge comes from outside, so how to use the knowledge absorptive capacity to promote the enterprise competitive advantage has important realistic significance.On the basis of literature review and previous research at home and abroad,this paper brings up a hypothetical model on relationship among absorptive capability,innovative capability,competitive advantage and explores the effects of absorptive capability and innovative capability on competitive advantage by collecting data of firms.In the empirical analysis,it firstly tests the scale's reliability and validity by Cronbach's Alpha modulus,CITC, Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Then it uses the structural equation model to test the validity of the studying model. The empirical results are shown as follows:1)Abosorptive capactiy has a significant influence on competitive advantage.Realized absorptive capacity (integrating ability and applying ability) has a stronger positive impact on competitive advantage,but Potentional capacity(acquiring ability and assimilating ability) has not positive impact on competitive advantage.2) absorptive capacity (acquiring ability, assimilating ability, integrating ability and applying ability) has a significant influence on innovative capability.3) Innovative capability has a significant influence on competitive advantage.4) Innovative capability plays an partial intermediary role of absorptive capacity and competitive advantage. Potentional capacity (acquiring ability and assimilating ability) indirectly affect competitive advantage. Realized absorptive capacity(integrating ability and applying ability) not only directly affects competitive advantage but also indirectly affects it through the intermediary function of innovative capability.Finally,this paper will make policy recommendations and suggest future directions in the further research.
