Dynamic Competitive Advantage. Cluster Core Enterprise Impact Factors Research

In the unsteady market environment, cluster is showing its outstanding advantageover individual enterprises. However, the 2008 economic crisis cast a shadow over thedevelopment of cluster when many small and medium-size enterprises were shutdown. With the development of science and technology, intangible factors such astechnology and knowledge are becoming an increasingly vital source to theenterprises. With the outside environment changing, enterprises should build itsdynamic competitive advantage to realize its sustaining development. This papercombines the results in the research fields such as the firm's capability theory,resource theory, competitive advantage theory, network relationship theory. Andtaking the leading enterprise among the cluster in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province as thesubjects, this paper tries to search and find the factors and their differences whichaffect the dynamic competitive advantage of the leading enterprise in different layersof the network.The characters of the leading enterprise and its effect will be first taken as thebreakthrough point in this paper. And comparing and analyzing the traditional resultsof the cluster leading enterprise and the latest researching result of the competitiveadvantage theory will then be served as the basis. The conditions of the dynamiccompetitive advantage formation are divided into external conditions and internalconditions that later be analyzed in detail. When analyzing the influence factors forthe leading enterprise dynamic competitive advantage, the conception of multi-layernetwork growing space concepts is put forward and divided into three type, namelylocal network, domestic trans-regional network and international network. Thegrowing space for the leading enterprises as well as the way to get dynamiccompetitive advantage is different under dynamic environment and fierce competition,which is why the key influence factor is different. On the basis of cluster leadingenterprise's character, this paper abstracts the influence factor for the dynamiccompetitive advantage, and analyzes the key influence factor with the exploratorycases against enterprises under different network layer. So the dynamic competitiveadvantage strategies are built based on the results above. The research for dynamic competitive advantage under multi-layer network is abig project needed constant exploration. The results of this paper are superficial.However, the author hopes it can be a clue to arouse attention for the study ofdynamic competitive advantage.
