With the rapid progress of modern science and technology, technology is increasingly aware of the complexity, and industry boundaries become increasingly blurred. As one of the most competitive international areas, defense industry is demanding of technology. In this case, many defense units which start to take notice of external resources on the importance of technological innovation, have to strengthen ties with external organizations. Industry-University-Research has become an important model in defense innovation system. In order to better carry out national defense production and research of technological innovation activities, and to improve the efficiency of collaborative innovation, it is necessary to understand the impact of factors of national defense production and research of technological innovation. Therefore, this research has important practical significance.By reading lots of literature, this thesis does in-depth study some related theories such as industry- university-research alliances, and technological innovation. Through combing the theory, combining with field interviews and case studies, the author extract 30 impact factors of technical innovation in industry-university-research alliance of defense industry. Then use the Likert scale to design questionnaire. Selecting part of the Nanjing area defense enterprises, universities and research institutes, as well as local colleges which had have experience of cooperation with defense units as objects of investigation. Next, filter out 27 factors by using SPSS 16.0 statistical tools to process the recovery of valid data. These factors are grouped into six factors through factor analysis. Use statistical tools Amos7.0 to analyze these six factors. It concludes that: in addition to technical characteristics shown by the uncertainty plays a negative role in technological innovation in industry-university-research alliance of defense industry, the remaining five factors make positive effects on industry-university-research cooperation and innovation. Finally, the author discusses the results of questionnaire, and puts forward seven suggestions to improve the effectiveness of technical innovation in industry-university-research of defense industry.
