In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the production costs, product quality and sales service in the iron and steel companies, the possibility of making profit in the areas of production is getting smaller and smaller, a lot of iron and steel companies increasingly pay attention to the reform of the traditional logistics pattern by advanced logistics concepts, therefore, modern logistics technology becomes more and more important for the major iron and steel companies at home and abroad, it has gradually become an important means to enable the iron and steel companies to flourish.This dissertation has optimized EKou Iron Ore logistics, which is based on modern logistics technology and logistics concept of iron and steel, combined with the practical needs of TISCO's own production. On the basis of the analysis of domestic and foreign ores Logistics Research, the paper starts by describing the theory of the iron and steel logistics concepts, the course of development and research trends, then has made research on Ekou iron ore on all aspects of logistics and transport based on the production and transportation environment of TISCO Ekou iron ore, and completed the optimization program, which include the optimization of transport routes, loading capacity, storage capacity and transport organization. The optimization program has transformed Ekou and Guandi station railway line. It has brought about taking and delivering entire empty column and submitting station of the entire heavy column. At the same time, it has expanded the capacity of pellet library and designed four new loading ore bins. For transport organization, we have used the approach of taking and delivering entire column and taking along foot transport, shorting the time of loading and transporting. Finally, this paper has applied the Analytic Hierarchy Process which combining quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to select the optimal locomotive operations program. The bottlenecks of the current TISCO Ekou iron ore logistics has been solved effectively by the optimization of the logistics chain transformation, which has a certain role in the promotion of the entire production chain of TISCO.
