Hotel industry is one of the earliest opening industries after China performs the reform and opening policy. After entering WTO, our country's economy has been concerned with the world economic system. The tourism industry has developed as one of the vital industries in national economy. The great potential market and splendid growth prospect of our tourism industry attracts the world famous multinational hotel groups entering China. As one of three support industries in tourism, hotel industry, especially the high star-rating hotel industry faces great competitive pressures and challenges.The advantage of competence is the foundation of forming the core competence as well as the capital of developing international compitition .This study dissertates and probes into that high star-rating hotel how to improve its competitive advantage when faces so many world famous hotel groups' competition under the totally open market environment in China. The dissertation is developed complying with the following venation: the open and competitive advantage decision of hotel industry in our country â†' the market environment of hotel industry â†'the government conduct and corporate conduct in high star-rating hotel industry development process â†' the rank of performance and its competitive advantage assessment of high star-rating hotel industry — the roads choice decision of improving high star-rating hotel industry competitive advantage. Through the discussion, we can get the correct roads decision to improve the competitive advantage of our country's high star-rating hotel industry.
